I was fortunate enough to travel for a few days along the beautiful West Coast of South Africa, with a good friend of mine, Hennie.
At one of our stops, we stayed over at Noup – a beautiful, charming little place tucked between the mining towns of Koingaas and Kleinzee, about 100km west of Springbok and 140km from Alexander Bay. Decades back, these 11 stone and corrugated iron cottages were home to resident miners. Oh if these walls could talk.
These cottages have recently been restored . Each cottage has it’s own unique design, feel and lovely fireplace inside (for those cold days – the Atlantic ocean has it’s suprises). Trust me, you would not want to be anywhere else.
